The 14th edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship will take place for the second consecutive year in Poland – a country well-known for its incredible passion for volleyball.
Poland’s enthusiastic fanbase demonstrates a deep love of our sport and will make the perfect host for this year’s event. We still have very fond memories of Krakow hosting the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship and the 2017 edition of the Men’s Club World Championships.
I am looking forward to a fantastic competition. Every year, the Club World Championship brings together some of the very best men’s volleyball clubs from around the world in a true celebration of our sport. I am sure we will be treated to exhilarating matches and remarkable displays of teamwork, played out in the true spirit of fair play and sportsmanship.
After 2017, all eyes will be on the reigning tournament champions, Zenit Kazan (RUS), and last year’s silver and bronze medalists, Lube Civitanova (ITA) and Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei (BRA), to see if they can repeat their success. However, with the level of competition being so high, no one can be assured of a place on the podium.
As at all FIVB events, the organisers and the FIVB have also been working on a number of exciting innovations on and off the court, to ensure the very highest levels of entertainment and fan engagement during, in between, and after matches.
Together, we are fulfilling our vision to make volleyball the number one family sport in the world. The FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship is an important step towards achieving this vision and I wish everyone the best of luck for a fantastic competition.
