Bruno: We are improving day by day

Plock, Poland, November 29, 2018 - Cucine Lube Civitanova beat Fakel Novy Urengoy in straight sets to wrap up their pool play obligations at the 2018 FIVB Men's Club World Championship - though the match was just to decide who finished first and who second, as both teams had already secured their tickets to the semifinals.

Bruno Rezende, Lube setter: "It's difficult to talk about this match today because both teams were already qualified. It was not easy for Fakel to play tonight with the right concentration because yesterday they had five sets. About Zenit Kazan, they were the main favorites and they are out of the semifinals, but Fakel showed very good volleyball and they are in the Final Four in Czestochowa. The weakest part of Lube is that we have been playing together for 15 days so it's not really easy to give perfect balls, but we are improving it every single day and our system is working better. The World Championship is one of the most high-level club competitions that I played in and it is really important to have this kind of tournaments. We love to play in Poland, Polish fans are amazing, they have passion for volleyball."

Camillo Placi, Fakel coach: "There wasn't enough energy to win this game. Mentally and physically we weren't on the right point and we lost the game, but there is a good side because we lost with the team that is still playing in this tournament. We will do our best do show good volleyball in the semifinals."

Erik Shoji, Fakel libero: "Lube are a really tallented team. It wasn't our day today. Lube were really strong, but we think that anything is possible. We are so happy to play in the semifinals and we have a chance to win and I hope we will. We are happy to continue in Czestochowa."
