Czestochowa, Poland, December 2, 2018 - Diatecx Trentino stunned Cucine Lube Civitanova for the title at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship and all in the winners' camp were so happy not just with the gold medal, but also at how the team played on Sunday.
Jenia Grebennikov, Trentino libero: "It was a super match, we are very happy with the result. Lube were the favourites to win the title. We showed that we can play volleyball on high level. We want to play very well in all tournaments that we play. I do not count how many titles of the best libero I have, but it's always nice to be recognised. I train all the time to stay on a high level and to help my teammates."
Lucca Vettori, Trentino opposite: "We are happy with the result and victory. We expected a tough match, with long sets and rallies. We played well, we wanted to win. It was a long tournament and we are happy that we are the Champions."
Giampaolo Medei, Lube coach: "We have played the most important match today and it was our worst game. We are of course not happy with the result. We did not play very well especially in attack."
Dragan Stankovic, Lube captain: "I think we did not play on our normal level, we played below our capabilities. They were leading practically the whole match, we managed to overcome difficult moments in the second set, but it was not enough."
