Khatam Ardakan and Sada Cruzeiro face off in Pool B

 

Rzeszow, Poland, November 29, 2018 - Khatam Ardakan of Iran and Sada Cruzeiro of Brazil will play for the first victory of the competition in the last encounter in FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship Pool B in Rzeszow.

Head-to-Head
·    Khatam Ardakan and Sada Cruzeiro meet for the first time at the Club World Championship.
·    Sada Cruzeiro are unbeaten in their Club World Championship meetings with Iranian teams. They beat Matin Varmin in 2014, Paykan Tehran in 2015 and Sarmayeh Bank Tehran in 2017, all in straight sets.

Khatam Ardakan
·    Khatam Ardakan started their Club World Championship campaign with 3-0 defeats against Trentino Volley and Asseco Resovia.
·    Khatam Ardakan could become the third Iranian side to win a Club World Championship match, after Paykan Tehran (7 victories) and Matin Varamin (1).
·    Khatam Ardakan will look to avoid becoming the third team in the last four years to lose all three preliminary round matches in straight sets, after Bangkok Glass in 2016 and NEC Red Rockets in 2017.
·    Mohammadhassan Senobar was their most prolific scorer (10 points) against Trentino Volley, Ghasem Karkhaneh (9) claimed this honour against Asseco Resovia.

Sada Cruzeiro
·    Sada Cruzeiro lost 3-2 against home side Asseco Resovia on Monday and 3-1 against Trentino Volley on Wednesday.
·    Cruzeiro have lost their first two matches of a Club World Championship campaign for the first time ever. The only Club World Championship in which Cruzeiro lost more than two total matches was the 2014 edition (3).
·    Cruzeiro could equal their longest losing streak at the Club World Championship, three matches in 2014.
·    Evandro M. Guerra was Cruzeiro's top scorer on Monday (22 points) and Wednesday (25).
