Rzeszow, Poland, November 27, 2018 - Three-time FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship winners Sada Cruzeiro from Brazil take on record four-time winners Trentino Volley from Italy in Pool B on Wednesday.
Head-to-Head· Sada Cruzeiro and Trentino Volley meet for the third time at the Club World Championship.
· Both previous meetings came in the 2012 edition. Trentino won 3-2 in the group stage and 3-0 in the final.
· Cruzeiro are winless in their Club World Championship meetings with Italian sides (3 matches), while Trentino are unbeaten in their fixtures against Brazilian teams (4 matches).
Sada Cruzeiro· Sada Cruzeiro lost 3-2 against home side Asseco Resovia on Monday.
· This is the second season in a row that Cruzeiro lost their Club World Championship opener.
· Cruzeiro have never lost their first two matches of a Club World Championship campaign
· Monday's match was Cruzeiro's fourth five-set defeat at the Club World Championship. They won only one match that went the distance, against PGE Skra Belchatów in 2012.
· Evandro M. Guerra (22) and Taylor Sander (21) crossed the 20-points mark against Asseco Resovia.
Trentino Volley· Trentino Volley started their Club World Championship campaign with a straight-sets win over Khatam Ardakan.
· Trentino have won the Club World Championship a record four times (2009 to 2012) and also finished on the podium in the 2013 and 2016 editions (both third place finishes). Their six podium places in total are also a record in the competition.
· Trentino have lost only four of their 34 Club World Championship matches: 3-2 v UPCN in 2013, 3-1 v Lokomotiv Novosibirsk in 2013, 3-0 v Al-Rayyan in 2014 and 3-0 v Zenit Kazan in 2016.
· Trentino won all three their preliminary round matches in their most recent participation (2016). Their only CWC defeat that year came in the semifinal against Zenit-Kazan (3-0).
· Luca Vettori led his team in scoring in Trentino's opening match against Khatam Ardakan on 16 points.
